PHOTO ALBUMS & SLIDESHOWS

Hosted by Carol Greenspan, this web site provides a place for the members of the Saint Mark's community who took part in the eSibonisweni Delegation, Summer 2008,  to post their photographs and enter commentary.  The response to date is very exciting!
Everyone is grateful to Carol for her leadership - for all she did and all she is continuing to do to make a truly meaningful connection with the children of the eSibonisweni School.

On our school's second expedition to Esibonisweni in the summer of 2006 Mr. Jackson, his wife and their friend, Terry Towne, who is an art therapist joined the Saint Mark's expedition to bring art supplies to the children and worked with them to create their own beautiful pictures.  Note little Talia working along side her new friends.

Mrs. Becker and her husband joined the third expedition in the summer of 2008.  On their way to the school they enjoyed the architecture and way of life in near-by regions, stopped to visit a local winery and explored the coastline. At the school they helped plant seeds in the garden, brought in a garden hose to provide the school with much-needed irrigation, and worked with other members of the delegations to stock the empty pantry shelves with food.  After leaving the school they traveled to game parks in South Africa to see the amazing animals that live peacefully in wild but protected open space.

In 2008  Patricia Bruvry created a magnificent map of the world for the walls of eSibonisweni School and made a paper quilt out of the students' artwork.
